This always happens to me. You sit and wait to see if it is a 10 or not, especially at night. I get a shadow before some of my ch's and if I am in bed I tend to wait and see (!). Later when the headache is fully developed I swear I will never do this again and swallow a sumatriptan tablet which does the trick.
