a remedy that worked for me

I just had my first bout with clusters (at the ripe old age of 49-so much for the statistics).

After two weeks of being mis-diagnosed (partially my own fault) I have gotten treatment that has worked- from a neurologist (Imitrex nasal spray, Calan, and Fiortal) and I've hopefully "broken" this first cycle.

Before I got to the Doctor, however, I found something that I haven't seen posted that worked for me, though the relief was temporary. It was the only thing that worked, and at times it only lasted a couple of hours, but like I say, it did work.

I put a big pot of water(like you would boil spagetti noodles in) on the stove-got it boiling like crazy, put a towel over my head and breathed in the heat and steam through my nose and mouth. You have to be careful, but you can regulate the heat and steam by raising or lowering the end of the towel that you are holding over the pot. It got rid of the headaches, in about 15 or so minutes, but, like I said it didn't keep them from recurring. It was, however the only relief I could find at the time.

Might be worth a try. Good luck.
