I know that your suggestion is very well intended, but
it seems that what you are suggesting may aggravate
CH instead of helping it.

Before anyone tries to make a chemical lab out their
bathroom think twice. I think that the idea of sleeping
through an attack may seem reasonable. However, not
with GHB. If GHB is a "coma-inducing" drug with
known ceisural side effects, perhaps in consideration
of current CH knowledge it would be best avoided.
The reason is simple - Some data suggests that
CH may hold some relation to epilepsy, and in the
"seizure disease", as well as depresion. Some people
suffering CH experience muscular spams and twitches
as well. I do, as well as many that have posted here.
If one is prone to spasms and perhaps bipolar polarization
ailments, which may be part of CH, perhaps something
that may precipitate convulsion should be contraindicated.
Imagine if you do the GHB thing, drop into a semi-comatose
state filled with convulsions at the same time
that you are hit with a Kip 9 CH...I bet it would really
difficult reaching for that Imitrex injection, and much
more difficult avoiding hitting the cat, couch or floor
with the autoinjector instead of the thigh. I just hope
that the needles in tha case are made of titanium alloy
so you have a 3rd and 4th chance in case one misses the thigh.

Just a thought.

Miguel
