I had my first episode in 1986. Thereafter I suffered two episode annualy, 1 month each. Eventually in 1992 they converged into 1 2 month episode.

In 1993 & 1994 I took LSD several times recreationally (without realising that it would prevent future episodes of CH. So between July 1992 and March 1995 there were no episodes.

An episode did strike during April 1995. I figured I was due another 6 months later, and then figured out that LSD my have been what caused the remission. To bring about another remission I tried using Psilocilin. I took the Psilocilin in October 1995. I then waited, and was cluster free until December 1997. That episode was a bitch because I was taking analgesics. I waited until the onset of the next cluster in October 1998 and then ingested some psilocilin. The psilocilin broke the cycle and I was clear until October 1999. Again I waited until the cycle started (I actually let it get up to Kip 7), then ingested a considerable quantity of alchohol to induce a severe attack. When the headache got underway I ingested the Psilocilin again and it both aborted the headache (15 minutes after ingestion) and also broke the cycle (although I did have shadows for a further 48 hours). After that I was back onto drinking a bottle of red wine (I can feel you wincing) every night. Yum.

I intend to do the same the next time an episode gets underway. The dose of psilocilin I am using is 1/4 the typical recreational dose, and is obtained from boiling 10-12 Liberty Cap mushrooms in water for 10-15 mins. I preserve the raw Liberty Cap in honey (that is legal in the UK). The side effects vary from negligible to mild but pleasant. There are no hallucinations.

Hope this feedback is of some use.
