Hi Troy...I have tried almost, if not every medication available. Imitrex worked for about 5 months, then the effect wore off. Depokote didn't do a thing, neither did Tegretol, Lithium Verapermil, Sansert. Oxygen, cold ompresses, Motrin 800 mg and a Xanax .5mg helps me get thru it most of the time. Egesic works occasionally and you can take it every 4-6 hrs and the Dr. probaby has samples and if it works ask the doc for more. he gets them free from the drug reps. I drink Mt Dew, when I first wake up (seems to help). 2 sips of a beer will set off a CH. So I don't drink, Flashing lights (like police cars or those UPC scanners at the market) set off CH.
When I start to hyperventilate or think suicide (crazy with pain), I go to the Drs office for a shot of Nubane and Phenergan--that works for about 24 hrs, sometimes 48 (I sleep).
