Troy, I've used depakote, as much as 750mg a day. I didn't suffer any side affects from it, that I'm aware of, but it didn't offer any relief until I combined it with verapamil. I'm not in a cycle at this time, ended about 6 weeks ago. I used the imitrex injections, and they worked like a charm, every time. However, even with the ins. co. paying 80%, everyday usage can add up. So I switched to the nasal spray, 20mg, it was almost as effective, and about half the price. I also used tons of oxygen, it helped alot when I started it at the first sensation. I would save the imitrex for the times when oxygen was ineffective, or I was out of reach of it, golfing, biking,etc.. I hope this info can help you in some way.
