on the Imitrex because an attack occurred 7 hours after one ended.I'm the only person I ever heard of who might get 20 hours relief from Imitrex, and that was probably because I am episodic and usually only have 3 or 4 attacks a day during most of my cycle.
Did the Imitrex end the first headache? if so, it sounds to me you are getting some benefit from it.
The problem is that a lot of people need much more Imitrex than they can obtain or can take safely. Did you try it again for the one you believe may be a rebound?
I have found that my cycles are not always the same. The first 11 years I had no medication at all. The cycles were still slightly different each time. After being CH free for a year I might have more intense ones than before. If they occurred only at night during one cycle, they might also attack during the day in the next cycle. In my case CH is very unpredictable. In my experience medication played no role in the nature of the attacks.
