Another vote here for Prednisone. Some people swear by it. I sweared at it and also anyone or anything that crossed my path or dared to look at me. Made me feel very hostile and angry. Also caused me to have an incredible and insatiable appetite. Couldn't get enough food or water in me.
My veterinarian put my dog on Prednisone after he herniated a disc. Bo, who is normally a docile, sweet sissy-la-la type of dog spent three days guarding his water bowl snarling and growling at anyone who dared to come near it.
Prednisone can be a "wonder drug" for some but Bo and I will gladly decline any future offers.
