· I am a 41 year old male whom has been suffering with cluster headaches for more years than I care to count and the attacks just keep on coming. Over the years I’ve seem I don’t know how many doctors and even more quacks. All of which for the most part where nothing short of useless; you would think that at some point in their lives they would believe what I was telling them about my headache. It always seemed as if I never knew what was wrong with me but, after years of seeing all the wrong doctors, the wrong quacks and last but not least all the wrong family members, that someone would say “what are you feeling or what do you think is wrong or, at least ask me “what works/ what has worked in the past. You see I don’t pretend to tell anyone what works better for cluster headaches but, I can tell you this!!. What ever you are using, if it takes away the pain; keep taking it no matter what anyone says because to tell you the truth it’s your head that’s about to blow off and that’s not going to change until you take those pain relievers that work, be it pills, shots, O2, or I.V.s or what have you. From what ive read nobody knows what causes cluster headaches and if you go to the doctor too much, depending what you look like when you walk in. You could be labeled a dope head, yet if you don’t go to the doctor you’re labeled a fake or it just doesn’t hurt that bad because, if you’re really having an attack, that’s just plain not true. Hang in there and keep the faith, a cure will come
