if you are to young to remember the engery crisis of the 70's large cars and engines took a huge plunge in value and many stations would only sell you 2-5 gallons after a long long wait, we can still buy all the gas we want today provided we pay the price, but what about tomorrow?

Just out of curiousity do you need a pickup? Most of the farmers and construction workers up here are carting around in pickup trucks all rusted out from the 60's with the beds loaded with stuff, all the new ones have all that chrome, the cab spot lights and never seen as much as a bag of groceries in the rear. Our Ford dealer sells more pickups than cars, see a family with four kids pile up into a pickup, it raining and they are also jamming a weeks groceries in the cab, but that bed doesn't even have a scratch in it, I know they are cool, but are they practical for that kind of life style?
