stop me from going to any overcrowed environment that has marginal air recirculation, the energy crisis of the 70's has caused many a public type building to conserve on fuel usage that was unfortunately resolved by severely limiting the number of complete air changes per hour as previously recommended by the HVAC Association. Most of these buildings sit idle for days and the air is clean when first entered, if there are a number of services available, the first one is the cleanest one, other variables include whom sits next to you, if that person is drenched in six gallons of perfume or aftershave, there could be a problem one week and not the next week, just have to position one self near an exit so if that old CH cranks up again, can quietly step out without attracting attention which I would think would be an acceptable alternative to yelling and screaming in pain. Now that would cause a distraction! Just too many variables!
