I tried Prednisone for the first time my last bout (2 years ago) and it seemed to be affective in reducing the frequencey and severity of my headaches, but after I tapered off in about 2 weeks they came on full force. I went back on it, but it had no effect. I eventually developed thrush (a yeast infection in the mouth) that apparently was a result of a deficient immune system caused by the Prednisone. Apparently this happens very rarely, but it was enough to cause me to stop taking it. Hopefully you will have better luck with it!
