There is no connection between the two. I have done extensive research on cluster headaches as I suffered over three years with them. I was prescribed every drug you could possibly think of to get rid of them and nothing worked although Stadol nasal spray would sometimes relieve the pain.
I was on 480 miligrams of verapamil a day and every other month they were trying something new. Steroids would stop them for awhile but they always came back. They would get up to 6 or 8 a day and last about 45 minutes a few times longer. Alcohol always brought them on and those were even worse
and I could not imagine worse but after alcohol those would last hours. After 3 years a doctor finally found a very small cyst in my sinus and had it removed through surgery which was very painful in itself. But I was at the point where I would have let him cut off my right arm if he could get
rid of the headaches. Well it worked, I've been headache free for over 6 months now. I feel like I have a new lease on life. You may ask why am I even writing this. Well after suffering for three years and experiencing the pain I endured if I can help just one person I would be ecstatic because
I know the feeling of finally getting rid of something I was told There was no cure for and I would have to live with for the rest of my life. If you want to e-mail its ok, if I can give any support or help I would be more than happy to do so. Please excuse my spelling as I am not going to proof
read this and I know I probably spelled some things wrong. Take care and keep the faith
