I'm new to this website--I found it a few days ago and have read nearly all the messages that have been sent in by my fellow clusterheads. I also went to the site where cluster sufferer profiles are being compiled (web2.airmail.net/skymastr/cluster/), and discovered that we have an average IQ of about 140. This puts us in the top 5 or 6 percent of the population, intelligence-wise, and proves to anyone who will listen that we're not a bunch of dummies who don't know what we're talking about, or who exaggerate about the degree of pain we must endure--some of us year around! I have a good friend who says, "Well, pain is pain...everyone has to go through some pain or other." Yeah ...right. She just can't seem to grasp, even when I quote some of my fellow sufferers on this site, the magnitude of agony that most of us go through. I suppose that's one of the most frustrating things about this affliction--no one can REALLY empathize with you unless they've been there. Just felt the need to vent a little...
