Well first of all it is magnitudes better than my Italian. But lemme tell you about "poor" English. I worked for my father in his hardware store in my pre to late teen years in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. There was a large population of Slavs, mostly elderly, and sooo many would not deal with me because I didn't understand English. Damned if I know how dad understood them, maybe something he picked up when he was a soldier in WW2. But don't knock your English, it is more than adequate.
