I always start with the 02. If it hasn't stopped the CH in about 15 minutes I will take 1/2 to 1 cafergot tablet (under the tounge...uck)and go back to the 02. Another 1 cafergot if I'm still in pain at 30 minutes from start of CH, and back to the 02. If that doesn't work, I'm screwed for the next hour or so.
Watch out for the side effects of ergotamine. I had a mild heart attack from the ergotamine years ago on the 7th week of a bad bout with way too much ergotamine. (By the way the CH hurts worse.)
