A typical episode can last anything from one month to three months with a CH from once to twice a day. If I get a warning of a CH coming on I take two paracetemol/codeine tablets which usually works or if no warning then I take a sumatriptan (imitrex ?) tablet which always works. I have to be carefull though as I have only been prescribed 6 of these as they are (so I am told)very expensive. My doctor is understanding though and said I could go back for more if I really needed them. The headaches are now randomizing in that I won't get one one day and then next I will but at no specific time.
