I've tried it all. Imitrex injection is very effective abortive for me. I haven't tried the nasal spray yet, but am considering it due to the grief I'm getting from my HMO regarding the cost of the injections. The pills take too long. I never gave oxygen a real chance since I would usually chew up a pain pill in my desperation, put on the mask and wake up to an empty tank. Kind of hard to keep the tank with you too. Good luck. Be patient with him and hang in there. A good sympathetic wife like yourself will help him cope with the emotional aspects associated with these damn things.
