Keeley, I am in the same boat as you....since Imitrex stopped working for me I'm in search of something that will work when I feel a migraine coming on. I did try something called ACC - its aspirin, codeine and caffiene, it did stop my migraine but its not something that I would take very often because of the rebound headache factor. Its a pain reliever that my Chiropractor suggested and taken early enough it will get rid of a migraine. Glad to hear that you have had success with Verapamil, I'm going to start it tomorrow.
