That is an interesting point to make. However, all within the medical profession and those not involved with medicine understand that certain chemicals (drugs) affect individuals in a very individual manner. I don't think anyone truly speaks as an authority, merely as a person that has experienced how a certain chemical interacts with his/her own body. I understand your concern about the very open expression on the board. As a medical student I understand the implications of "dolling out" medical advice from lay people. However, remember, a real doctor may go to his/her desk as a reference, but will always fully understand the physiology behind the chemical in question. However (and I promise to quit) only an individual can speak as to how a chemical interacts with his/her body.
