the stong antihistamine drys up my nose that emulates a similar reaction to one of my favorite triggers inducing a CH, I seldom get a CH if my nose is cold and moist or running, this is just me that I must always clarify as many have different reactions to different medications, and just offering it as something to think about, cold medications are also noted for rebounds, and If I get a cold, any anti-histamine just tends to drag it out longer, so I don't even fool with them, bad colds in me have knocked out a CH cycle, but have run up my Kleenex bill, hope you find out what works for you.
