In re: bleeding gums. I am 62 and have taken Verapamil (240MG daily) for about eight years to prevent cluster headaches. Perfect success. No side effects that I am aware of. A periodontist said it would make me more susceptable to bleeding. No such thing. I floss daily. My internist showed me the PDR and we could find nothing about that side effect.
