Wrap an ice pack aroung the base of the scull.
Lay on your back, head on pillow and turn your head hard to the side that the pain is on, with your chin pushed down towards your shoulder. (Once during an attack I pushed my finger into the bridge of my nose and the pain stopped - I didn't move for an hour!)
