Those, like you, who sacrifice themselves for others are the salt of the earth. Do not let the giving steal your peace.
I am not new to the "helping others" game. I have literally been spit in the face by those I was helping. So it goes.
Motivation is the key. Do we give solely for the sake of the other...or do we give to get a reward? ...be it praise, grace, heaven, friends or a warm fuzzy feeling...that's bartering, not giving.
Sacrifice hurts...or it wouldn't be a sacrifice.
Easter Season makes me think a lot about this.
