I'm convinced! In doing all of the research of my medical records for my MEB, I realized that I've skipped two cycles of headaches instead of just one. I skipped the cycles in '92 and in '96.

BOTH of those years, I worked the 3rd shift (midnight to 7 a.m.) and completely skipped any headache cycle! There's more...

When this cycle started, I was working the normal day shift schedule and having 2-4 headaches per day. The week before I went to Vegas (the second week of the cycle), I went to the 3rd shift and my headaches completely stopped! I went to Vegas the next week, worked the normal dayshift and the headaches came back with a vengence (4-6 a day).

Last week, I came back to the night shift...headaches completely stopped. This last weekend, I got back to a "normal" schedule and paid the price...4 headaches on Saturday, and 5 headaches on Sunday.

Since starting the new work week Sunday night at midnight, I haven't had one single headache! That makes two complete cycles, and a single cycle interrupted THREE TIMES all because of my shift schedule. That's enough for me to believe in it!

I'm not taking any preventative meds at the moment, just have Imitrex and O2 standing by to abort any h/a that I might have.

I know what works for one of us rarely works for another...BUT...it may be something to try. If any of you have the opportunity to work the midnight shift at your job, it may be a very inexpensive way for you to get relief from your headaches. Actually, civilian jobs usually pay you more for working the midnight shift don't they? :-)

As for now, I'm h/a free and happy to be working the midnight shift. I guess my hours have the 'demons' confused. I'll be the first one to say that I'm NOT looking forward to the upcoming 3 day weekend and a 'normal' schedule...
