I tend to view all who suffer CH's, especially chronic CH, are already casualties of a war where we are being relentlessly attacked and unspeakably tortured by the enemy. And all we seem to have for our defense is a sling shot.
I do agree that having support from fellow sufferers is important. Mainly because only a victim of this infernal curse can truly relate to the pain it inflicts. (Most non-sufferers, including many physicians and nurses in emergency wards, usually think that your a wuss and are exagerating your pain.) It also helps to know that you are not alone and that there are those who are even worse off than you and still keep the torch of hope held firmly in their hearts.
In my case, simply reading these posts helps to keep me focused and to not fall into the energy-sucking void of self-pity.
Although I lurk mostly in silence...thank you all for being there when I have felt alone and like an outcast and felt my hope starting to fade. They WILL find a cure or at least a comfortable way to kick the beast's ass. And hey, we figured out how to virtually disintegrate the planet with one blast and we now know that there are no green men on mars and the moon is not made of glowing green cheese, this should be no problem!

If scientists spent less time cloning sheep and society spent less money paying absurd amounts of money for things such as athletes to chase basketballs and hockey pucks around...we might even be there by now!
