Uncle..uncle!
I have just reread that long "egghead" post (08:12:38 04/15/00) by Dave for the 5th time and have reached my saturation point....the picture I'm getting could be way off due to the fact that my neurology degree still has Cracker Jack crumbs on it.

Any street translation, summary (yea I know it had a summary) would be appreciated.
Or at least just answer these questions...
1. When it states (in the Central Mechanism section) that one of the questions remaining are "How is the reflex initiated?"...Are they asking what the "central generator" is?...which they began their "summary" with...or what?

2. I can't find Serotonin mentioned anywhere here. Where does it fit in?

From now on whenever anyone asks me about my Clusters I'm gonna quote his post and say :

"Pain afferents from the trigeminovascular system transverse the ophthalmic division of the trigeminal nerve, taking signals from the cranial vessels and dura mater. These synapse in the trigeminal nucleus caudalis and then project to the thalamus (ventroposterior) and lead to activation in cortical areas, including frontal cortex, insulae, and cingulate cortex, RESULTING IN PAIN.

If you guys choose to ignore this post and just tell a joke...I WILL understand.

Shaken my head like a dog that just got truck hit.
