Dr. Nilaver (neurologist) of OHSU in Portland Or told me years ago that he had checked the medical papers and research results and concluded that Feverfew works in helping to reduce the incidence and severity of migraine and cluster headaches. He said it does this by serving to aid in regulating blood vessel spasms, which play a huge part in producing intense headache pain of these types.
It is most effective when used regularly as a preventative. Don't expect it to work right away while you are in the middle of an attack.
