My neuro did about the same thing...kept me on lithium, and added Verapamil, and said to consider the gamma knife if the meds don't work. So far, the meds don't work to my satisfaction. The attacks aren't quite as severe, but they are all too regular. I would like to adjust my dosage before considering going "under the knife". Good luck! Keep us posted (little joke there)
