Nice to see some interest from someone in the know.
As for the MRI, they tried that first, and for some
some reason it didn't work, hence the PET. I
think it was something to do with the fact that
the PET scan showed the blood flow,rather than the
actual structures involved.
All I know is that after the first 2.5 hours in the
MRI scanner with induced headache, I was a little
reluctant to go through the whole thing again in
a different machine, but a least there were some
positive results.
