It is odd but true that both Flash and Riccardo are right. No two Clusterheads respond in entirely the same way to any medication, especially over any length of time.
However, nearly all known pain meds have drawbacks, especially with CH's. And the rebound effects are well known and documented.

Personally, I get a measure of relief from plain old Excedrin Migraine tabs in that they seem to prevent a serious attack if I take a couple before go to sleep with a shadow. It is easy to abuse these things. The warnings on the label clearly indicate the dangers of taking this product. Our problem is that we don't give a damn about the dangers if we think it will stop an attack.

Still, every over and under the counter treatment will in the end be counter-productive for probably 95% of us, and many of the side effects are very serious. That's why it is far better to use the most natural remedies we can find.

So, Riccardo, keep taking your Ibuprofin and Paracetamol, but you should spend some time with the PDR and medical research papers before you laud their wonders too much.
