Hi Jay,

The only thing about your symptoms that strike me as non-cluster are the frequency changes. One of the textbook characteristics of clusters are the fact that they hit like clockwork, except at the extreme beginning and end of a cycle. People are all different though. As for duration, don't let anyone tell you that there is a certain length of time they should last. During my cycle, in addition to my regular 10 PM hell hour, I experience clusters that last for LESS THAN A SECOND! The pain during that half a second is excruciating, and then gone. If I'm standing when it hits, I won't be when it's gone! Good luck Jay. Oh, and before you do anything else, see a neurologist who knows what a cluster is!
