You have succinctly expressed my beliefs about CH'rs.
I think we do tend to addictive personalities. This theory has not received a warm welcome in the past, generally because people assumed I meant we were all alcoholics or drug addicts.
You have clearly (and correctly) pointed out that addictions can take many forms. Thank you.
Remember also that just because some of the characteristics which used to commonly be considered descriptive of CH were wrong is not a valid reason to discard all of them, if current data indicates otherwise.
