It seems to be helping me, too - but the cayenne assists it...

it worked the first time but not the next.
Then I tried it again (without the vinegar OR the egg) and it worked perfectly.
In fact, like you, I am able to abort most attacks or drastically minimize the pain with just a little of that delicious cheese under my tongue or even just some of it on a cracker!
This is so much better than the head banging or pain-killer drugs.
Another clusterhead I know is having similarly good results more than half of the time.
I use the cayenne pepper along with it, and it has been aborting nearly every attack now that I have it down just right:

As soon as the attack seems to be coming on, I get the cheese in my mouth and I pour a pinch of cayenne pepper in the palm of my hand.
Then, I dip a little Vaseline onto one finger and dab up the cayenne with it and rub it inside my nose (same side nosrtil as the pain). If the headache doesn't slow or stop in one minute, I also rub another batch on the outside of that same nostril -- rub it in good.
Side effects...? Minor burning sensation. Sometimes a little sneezing. Much easier to handle than the pain.

Just these two methods used together have stopped more than 90% of my attacks.
I had to do this at least five different times before it began working this well.

I still use oxygen when I have it. But when I don't, these simple methods are doing the trick.
Oh, and one more thing...rebound effect seems non-existent.
