Your treatment is identical to my own, and with the same result. It's almost like a dull version of the same attack. This makes it difficult to decide when to actually stop the treatment. I suspect that I could reduce and stop the dosage sooner than I do, but I'm always worried that the cluster headache will 'break-through'.
My feeling is that this is a reaction to the 'coming off' as opposed to a genuine attack.
I've don't have any suggestions, but I've started to note down the dates, duration etc. of the attacks and hopefully a pattern will emerge. This way I might be able to stop treatment sooner, in case the reduced dosage period is prolonging the 'dull' attacks.
