I took it in dosages as high as 1200 mg. It was one of the mildest medications I ever took; it didn't effect my mind at all. The only minor symptom was frequent urination for a few hour after taking the med. Spacing doses out throughout the day helped that. The drug books do warn that it is VERY IMPORTANT not to exceed the recommended levels in the blood stream.
Unfortunately lithium didn't help me at all. I do know someone who got 99% relief from lithium.
