I took amnitripaline (sp) back in college and it worked great. the problem was I could not wake up in the morning after taking it. Try telling the prof that you missed class because you over slept, but it's really not your fault! Then add on that it's to treat headaches and see how much sympathy you get (trust me, my grades certainly didn't reflect much sympathy that term!) Then my husband was prescribed it for disabling migraines and due to an undiagnosed blood disorder (which had been causing the HA's to begin with), his body over-reacted to it and he became manic, lost his job and wrote $3000 in bad checks! Soooo, if you don't have pernicious anemia (what my hubby has) and it doesn't make you too sleepy to get up in the morning, it can be wonderful. I seriously stayed on it for 4 months despite the sleep problems because it just worked so well for me. I hope it works - it's definately worth a try! Good luck!
