I know how frustrating it can be dealing with people who won't try to understand the pain.
My answer to her would have been that there IS presently no cure and that you WON'T be getting better anytime soon (sorry, don't mean that to sound harsh, but SHE needs to face the reality, YOU already know it), so you NEED her to try to understand in order to help you cope with it.
I've tried to explain it to Mike's family, pretty much to no avail.
But, rest assured, Tracy, everyone HERE understands it, sympathizes with you, wishes we could help. PLUS, you can come here anytime and vent - that's what we're here for.
There's a lot of mums here and we all do care for our clusterkids. We worry a lot, and you need to check in with us once in a while. Just send up a flare or something!!
