BennieSue, what you say about weight is true. Less weight, less medication. But ALSO: women react differently to medication than men. Has to do with the distribution of fatty tissue on a woman's body (And NO stupid remarks out there, please). Medication is often stacked there and then released into the body more slowly than in a men. ALSO I heard that pharmaceutical companies used to test new meds on volunteers in prisons - and that population is predominantly male.

Makes it even more difficult to pinpoint the right dose. As a rule of thumb I start by halving what the doctor prescribes and see where it gets me. Then I increase by a quarter and finally to the whole prescribed dose.
