Celebrex and its competitor Vioxx are called COX 3 inhibitors. Pretty much the same as a NSAID. It amounts to an aspirin that is in a higher gear, without the side effects of aspirin. My wife uses Vioxx twice a day for the swelling caused after the steriods were discontinued. It's very safe and user friendly.
