From my experience with doctors and prednisone, I know its not a good idea to stay on high doses for very long---as you have. The highest dose my doc ever prescribed for me was 60mg per day, for only 5 days, then down to 50mg for 5 days, etc., until I was done. Just as its not a good idea to stay on a high dose for long, its not advisable to simply quit taking prednisone. Tapering down gradually is the way to go. As long as you've been on such a high dose, I'd recommend talking to your doctor, though I'm not sure you are under a doctors care. Just be damn sure that you leave yourself enough prednisone so that you can get off of it gradually. Good luck to you.
