If you don't mind me making a few suggestions.....

Go with your daughter to the tattoo studio a few days before she gets the tat done just to look around and get a feel for the place. Some of the artists will let you watch them while they work, that is, if the customer doesn't mind.

Ask how they sterilize their equipment and if they use an autoclave.

If the studio doesn't look clean, leave and find another. If you can't find another, call Jonny's friend. He does beautiful work! (Hope he will travel long distances to make house calls.)

Ask to see pictures of the tattoos that the artist has done for other customers.

A good artist will take the time to explain the procedure and give you answers to all of your questions so don't be afraid to ask about everything and anything.

Ask your daughter if she thinks she will like her tattoo at the age of 60 as much as she likes it at the age of 18.

I like tattoos and think they are a great form of art and self expression. Let me know the outcome!
