I'd guess I'm one of the oldest and longest suffering CHrs on the board, episodic, then chronic and now episopdic again. What has kept me going all these years is "This WILL end". I was devastated when O2 quit working (about 8 years ago and chronic then) but knew that 1. It wont kill me and 2. If I tried to kill me, I'd screw it up and 3. Stay away from rotweilers. Good luck.
