Clusters are a life long disease and my main interest is what happens over the course of a life time.

When I found out many years ago that my clusters weren't gonna kill me and that they weren't destroying brain cells then I really wanted to know the typical progression.

For me the progression has been remarkably predictable.

30 years of being episodic
always a 6 week cycle
period between bouts has grown from 1 year to 1 1/2 to 2 to 2 1/2 to my current 3 years.

This growing remission period has been amazing to me in how steady it has been.

Although I hate to think that it has been due to hardening of my arteries :-)
