If they do, I hope they read every post they possibly can, particularly the harsh, crying, venting, flaming, swearing, screaming, poetic, funny caring ones.

What is known in a technical sense about CH barely fills a decent paragraph. Intense pain, typically 30 mins to 2 hours, unilateral, accompanied usually by nasal congestion or drip, tearing and drooping eyelid. Cause: unknown. Cure: none. Treatment: roll the dice and pray.

Years ago, oncologists learned that treating the cancer wasn't very successful. Treating the cancer patient is.

Is it possible that the apparently high percentage of creatives here relates to CH?

Do we have shorter tempers than 'normal' folks? And if so, is that an effect of the CH or just a reaction to the misery in our lives?

Is depression and a tendency toward suicidal thoughts truly higher among us?

Frankly, any 'professional' who fails to look at and consider these and many other 'soft' aspects of our disorder deserves to be de-smocked. Rip the Caduceus off his/her lapel and crush it under your foot.

All that being said (and a true reflection of my opinion), you are not the first person to express these type of ideas. This is precisely why Elaine created her site. It has separate boards for different subject types. The Cluster Academia board is limited strictly to 'serious' discussions about cluster theories, treatments, etc. All Elaine's boards are monitored and inappropriate posts are modified or removed when necessary.

Perhaps you should check it out.
KTSSU,
T
