I agree with what Hub has said.....this board is all things to all people.
So why should we change it. If anyone misinterprets it on their initial foray, they can always leave and come back......Lord knows NO ONE misinterpreted this board more SPECTACULARLY than I did! But I came BACK!(I'm not sure if I said so at the time....but SORRY to ALL those I offended, I am truly sorry for what happened. Im sorry too if I hurt anyone's feelings).
Most people do come back. At the end of the day, this is THE best site for CH, trust me Ive LOOKED! Elaine's is excellent too for CH and all the other types of headache. But this the best for CH alone. In fact it's so good that even if my CH disappeared overnight tonight (I wish), then I would STILL come back here every day to see you guys and to try to help those suffering.
Surely THAT'S what this board is about? Not whose message comes where on the board, or who makes a joke, or who retaliates to someone whose hurt them. I DEFY anyone to say they wouldn't retaliate for a friend whose been told to hurry up and die, or if that remark was made to them they wouldn't bite back! If you say you wouldn't, I'm afraid I'd have to call you a liar.
Let's forget what the "professionals" think. As for the newbies, most of them are tons more sensible than I was - they step back, watch and THEN post. Most times their initial post is "THANK GOD Ive found you guys!" not "oh dear, people are posting stuff that doesn't really refer to cluster headaches".
Let's get a grip and allow people to be just that...people. DON'T lets allow the thought police in here......THAT would be the greatest tragedy of all.
