In the 16 or so years that I've had CH, the general trends have always been:
1. shorter remission periods
2. longer cycles
3. more pain
4. more attacks per day
5. more resistance to meds
6. more irregularity in time of day of attacks
7. longer attacks
In short, NOTHING about the beast has improved over time. OTOH, we have this message board, there is a little less ignorance in general about CH, and I get by with Verapamil and Imitrex. So even as the beast gets nastier, I consider myself better off than ever.
