I get mistaken several times a year for someone else. Seems I have twins in Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Miami, Frankfurt, Manchester.... the list goes on.
I've had people I've never met before actually get offended that I didn't remember them, until I could convince them that I wasn't really who they thought I was. Once I even almost got beat up by some loon who was convinced I was the guy who stole his girlfriend... I just kept talking to him until he realized that my voice was too different from the guy he knew... I have a very distinctive voice. I guess I have a common facial type or something.
