Hi Fellow Sufferers,
I am so glad to finally meet people who suffer the way I suffer. I don't think i have ever known anybody who
has any idea what I go through - even people who have "regular" migranes don't know the same pain as a "cluster" migrane. I have suffered from these headaches since I was 14 years old - i'm now 39. Through the years, I have learned that they go into remission, the last one being 5 years, and they fool you into believing that they are gone, only to appear again. I get a migrane every night after I fall asleep so I have been taking 2 "cafergot" before I go to bed, however since you can't take more than 10 a week, I have been told by my doctor that I can no longer take them - they are very dangerous. I am now on Verapamil and find that it is working great - I started 3 days ago, and haven't had a headache in 2 days (knock on wood). Anyhow, I totally sympathize with anybody who suffers from "clusters", because it is the worst pain on earth and we just don't deserve it.
