Alcohol and nicotine are both triggers for me. I even use alcohol free mouthwash. I'm with Carl if you have never tried Verapamil it is worth a try. It is a blood pressure medicine,relatively inexpensive and has few common side effects.
I have been suffering for eight years and only this year was diagnosed with CH. I found a food Neuro and so far the Verapmil is working for me.
P.S. I was on Prednisone before (not CH related) and it made me feel horrible. I hate the stuff, but I know it has brought relief to some people.
You have to taper off really really slow or the stuff can wipe you out.
